| Recently I picked up a '93 NA with the intention of turning her into a project car. As with most projects you're bound to hit a snag here and there and the first for me was getting a proper key. The car came with some cheesy ilco blank which worked, but not too well. When I visited my local Nissan dealership they informed me that the key-code was no longer in their computer system (I was told the same thing by a few other dealers as well) and that if I could not find the metal tag or sticker that was in the glove box I would have to see a locksmith to get a key made. Here is how you can still retrieve your key-code. Simply call 1-800-NISSAN1, then hit 7, then hit 3. This will route you to a customer service rep and all you'll have to do is give the agent your VIN (who will in most cases have to "de-archive" your car info) and they should be able to get the key code. From there they can give your local dealer the phone number to call in and get the code. TL;DR Call the above number, have the Nissan agent talk to the dealership, get key-code and key made. I searched through this forum a bit for this info and could not find it, if this has been posted before sorry and feel free to VTD.
